Information we collect

Account information: name, email, requested role, practice name, state/region, and optional license number, NPI, and specialty — used for membership verification.
Content you submit: posts, responses, suggestions, and reports.
Basic usage information needed to operate the service.

How we use information

We use member information to verify access, operate and protect the community, moderate content, communicate about membership, and make member knowledge useful within its intended professional context. We do not sell member content or personal information.

Patient information

PeerSeat Dental is not designed to receive, store, or process patient-identifying information, and submitting it is prohibited. Automated screening and human moderation exist to help keep it off the platform, but members remain responsible for de-identifying anything they share.

Anonymous posting

Anonymous posts hide your identity from other members, not from PeerSeat administrators. This supports candid participation while preserving accountability.

PeerSeat may access true authorship when needed for moderation, security, legal obligations, or protection of the community. We do not promise absolute anonymity or anonymity from the platform itself.

Confidential professional context

Private discussions should remain inside the verified community. Members are expected not to copy, screenshot, or redistribute other members' content without permission. PeerSeat limits access according to role and purpose, but no online service can guarantee that another member will never misuse information they can see.

Service providers

The platform runs on hosted infrastructure (hosting, database, authentication, and transactional email providers). These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services.

AI and member knowledge

Member content is not currently sent to AI services. Before any material AI-supported use, PeerSeat will disclose the purpose, data flow, safeguards, and meaningful member choices. AI is intended to help organize and summarize verified peer experience, not replace professional judgment or create unrelated products from private discussions.
