Community Guidelines
PeerSeat Dental works because members trust each other. These guidelines keep the room worth sitting in.
1. Never submit patient-identifying information
No names, dates of birth, chart numbers, contact details, full-face photos, or anything else that could identify a patient. De-identify every clinical case before posting. This is the one rule with zero tolerance.
2. Be professional
Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, shaming, or pile-ons — including about practice philosophy, fee strategy, or clinical approach.
3. Peer input, not directives
Share what you have seen and done. Do not present responses as legal advice, HR advice, official clinical direction, or an official second opinion. Flag when something needs a qualified professional — attorney, accountant, malpractice carrier, or service technician.
4. No vendor spam, and disclose conflicts
If you have a financial relationship with a product, lab, or service you are recommending, say so. Selling and self-promotion are not what this community is for.
5. Respect intellectual property
Do not share copyrighted manuals, proprietary vendor documents, or paid course content without permission.
6. Anonymity is for safety, not mischief
Anonymous posts are anonymous to the community, not to platform administrators. This helps protect trust and accountability.
7. Report problems
Every post and response has a Report action. Use it — especially for possible patient-identifying information. Administrators may hold, hide, or remove content and may warn or suspend members.
